# Aethair IAQ

Commercial Indoor Air Quality Monitor for Offices, Workplaces, and Occupied Buildings

Aethair IAQ measures nine [indoor air quality parameters](https://aethair.io/solutions/iaq-monitoring/#measure): PM1, PM2.5, PM10, total VOC (tVOC), formaldehyde, CO₂, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. It also reports raw particle counts by size, total PM from the particle counter, dew point, and heat index, for 13 parameters in all. Every device is calibrated and checked before it ships, with its own Performance Certificate. Readings stream in real time over built-in 4G LTE, with cellular data included. Your team gets an alert when a room drifts out of range, occupants can see air quality on a lobby screen or by QR code, and Aethair Reports documents performance against WELL v2 or Aethair Blue. See the [commercial air quality monitoring solution](https://aethair.io/solutions/iaq-monitoring/) for offices and buildings.

What you get from it

## What You Get From Aethair IAQ

Every reading goes to the Aethair Cloud and appears in Environet. Each outcome below is a product you can read about.

### [Live data and alerts](https://aethair.io/platform/environet/)

[Environet](https://aethair.io/platform/environet/) shows every device live and alerts the people you choose by email, SMS, and webhook, on a reading or its average over any window from 5 minutes to 30 days. [Noesis](https://aethair.io/platform/noesis/) fills in a dashboard, a report, or an alert from a plain-text request.

### [Compliance reports](https://aethair.io/platform/reports/)

[Aethair Reports](https://aethair.io/platform/reports/) writes scheduled or on-demand reports, as PDF or secure link, from templates for Aethair Blue, WELL v2, cabin air (ISO 23875), and the CMS-2567 healthcare codebook (ASHRAE 170), or against your own limits, each on the average you define. [See a sample report](https://aethair.io/docs/aethair-office-air-quality-report-example.pdf).

### [Dashboards and the app](https://aethair.io/platform/dashboards/)

[Aethair Dashboards](https://aethair.io/platform/dashboards/) put live readings on screens, online or by QR code, and the [Aethair App](https://aethair.io/platform/app/) puts them on phones. Dashboards can be shared publicly: [Billy Penn Studios](https://aethair.io/solutions/billypennstudios/) publishes its readings to tenants and the community. [See a live dashboard example](https://dashboard.environet.io/?token=7e8ea79a-8dfd-4412-bafe-e7506037d12d).

### Your data, stored until delivered

Aethair IAQ caches readings on the device until they are delivered, so a connectivity outage delays readings instead of dropping them, and raw readings are stored exactly as the device sent them. Every reading is encrypted in transit to the Aethair Cloud and platform access is role-based. Live and historical readings export as JSON or CSV through the [Environet API](https://docs.environet.io/) (OpenAPI 3.2). You own your devices and data, can grant partners controlled access, and readings are kept for as long as you need them (at least two years after a project ends) and deleted only at your request.

### Calibrated, with a certificate

Each Aethair IAQ ships with a Performance Certificate for its serial number. On the [example certificate](https://aethair.io/docs/1C002887.pdf), CO₂, temperature, humidity, and total VOC are checked against reference devices (a Fluke 1620A for temperature and humidity, a ppbRAE 3000 for total VOC, a reference unit for CO₂), with the correlation (R 0.99 and above, R² beside it) and the p75, p90, and p95 errors. The PM2.5 and formaldehyde sensors are calibrated at the factory by their maker, Plantower, and checked by Aethair. Calibration uses NIST-traceable reference standards.

### One account for every site

Every Aethair IAQ, at every site, sits in the same Environet account as Aethair PRO and Thiamis-connected sensors: one console, the same alerts, reports, and dashboards for every device.

Questions

## Aethair IAQ FAQ

How is Aethair IAQ different from a consumer air quality monitor?

It is built for professional use. Every unit is calibrated against NIST-traceable reference standards and ships with a certificate showing, sensor by sensor, how it compares with a reference device or who calibrated it. Every report traces back to time-stamped readings, stored exactly as the device sent them. It is still a sensor-based monitor, not a reference method. One account manages a whole portfolio of devices rather than a single room, and the data flows through the [Environet API](https://docs.environet.io/) into your own systems.

How does Aethair IAQ support EHS and compliance programs?

Set thresholds at the indoor limits your program uses: WELL v2's formaldehyde, total VOC, and PM2.5 thresholds, CO₂ at WELL's 900 ppm ventilation-monitoring level (or 750 ppm for its enhanced-ventilation points), Aethair Blue, or your own targets, each on the averaging period it is defined over. Occupational exposure limits such as OSHA PELs are set per compound, far above typical office concentrations, and are measured by personal sampling over a shift, so an IAQ program doesn't check against them. Alerts, reports, and exports then work as described under What You Get.

Can Aethair IAQ feed our building management system?

Yes, through the [Environet API](https://docs.environet.io/) and webhooks. Your BMS integration can read live and historical readings as JSON or CSV through the API, or receive each reading as it arrives through a webhook, for example to drive demand-controlled ventilation from CO₂.

How do I install Aethair IAQ in my building?

Mount each unit indoors near a power outlet for its 5 VDC micro-USB supply, and plug it in to power it on. It reports over built-in 4G LTE with its own SIM, so it needs no site network or Wi-Fi onboarding. Where cellular coverage is weak, it can join the site's Wi-Fi instead. Readings are cached on the device during a network outage. Your own staff can install it, with no special license needed, or a partner from Aethair's network can do it for you.

How is Aethair IAQ bought?

The hardware is a one-time purchase: the monitors and their accessories. The platform is an annual subscription, on a one- to three-year contract, that covers every platform feature. Cellular data and data hosting are included, with no network fee. Buying starts with a 30-minute call: you tell us about your application, then we demo the solution for it.
