Heat Stress & Comfort
TSI Quest QUESTemp° area heat-stress (WBGT) monitors. Models 32/34/36 pair a natural (water) wet-bulb with dry-bulb, globe, and relative-humidity sensors; 44/46/48N drop the wick for a waterless wet-bulb (RH sensor + proprietary algorithm). All compute indoor/outdoor WBGT and a heat index / HUMIDEX, log over RS-232 to Detection Management Software, and accept an optional Head-Torso-Ankle tri-sensor array for height-weighted WBGT.

| Model | Description | Measures & specs |
|---|---|---|
| Entry-level natural (water) wet-bulb area WBGT monitor without data logging, a replacement for the WIBGET WB-300. Dry-bulb, natural wet-bulb, globe, and relative-humidity sensors; computes indoor and outdoor WBGT plus a heat index / HUMIDEX. | ||
| Natural (water) wet-bulb area WBGT monitor with data logging. Dry-bulb, natural wet-bulb, globe, and relative-humidity sensors; computes indoor and outdoor WBGT plus a heat index / HUMIDEX. | ||
| Logging natural wet-bulb monitor that adds selectable stay-time work/rest limits: ACGIH Heat-Stress TLV, U.S. Navy PHEL, Navy/Marine Ashore Flag, and EPRI action limits. | ||
| Discontinued natural wet-bulb logging model, no longer in the current TSI catalog; retained for units still in the field. | ||
| Entry waterless wet-bulb monitor: an RH sensor and proprietary algorithm replace the wick, so there is no daily maintenance. Reports outdoor WBGT only (no indoor WBGT, heat index, stay times, or tri-sensor option), with data logging. | ||
| Waterless wet-bulb monitor with indoor and outdoor WBGT, heat index / HUMIDEX, and selectable stay-time limits (including EPRI action limits); accepts the tri-sensor array. | ||
| Top waterless wet-bulb monitor: adds an event-logging mode and a D-ring hands-free lanyard mount. Stay-time set covers ACGIH Heat-Stress TLV, U.S. Navy PHEL, and Ashore Flag conditions (EPRI action limits excluded). |

On the platform
What the TSI QUESTemp Gets From Aethair
Connected through Thiamis, its readings arrive in the same Environet account as Aethair's own monitors.
Live data and alerts
Environet shows the instrument live and alerts the people you choose by email, SMS, and webhook, at the thresholds you set. Noesis sets up a dashboard, a report, or an alert from a plain-text request.
Compliance reports
Aethair Reports produces scheduled or on-demand reports from the instrument's readings, as a PDF or secure link. Templates cover Aethair Blue, WELL v2, cabin air (ISO 23875), and the CMS-2567 healthcare codebook (ASHRAE 170), or you can report against custom limits such as OSHA PELs, NAAQS, EPA guidance, or your own program limits.
Dashboards and the app
Environet dashboards and the Aethair App show the instrument's readings just like any Aethair device. The occupant-facing Aethair Dashboards status display is built around Aethair IAQ and Aethair PRO.

Questions
TSI QUESTemp FAQ
What is the difference between the natural wet-bulb (32/34/36) and waterless (44/46/48N) QUESTemp models?
The 32/34/36 use a traditional wet-bulb sensor (a wick kept wet with distilled water) to read the natural wet-bulb temperature directly. The 44/46/48N drop the wick: a relative-humidity sensor feeds a proprietary algorithm that derives the wet-bulb value, so there is no daily water top-up or wick maintenance. Both routes yield the same WBGT index.
Which parameters does the QUESTemp measure?
Every unit carries dry-bulb, globe, and relative-humidity sensors (plus a natural wet-bulb sensor on the 34/36). From these it computes the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (an indoor WBGTi and an outdoor WBGTo index) and a heat index / HUMIDEX. The QUESTemp does not measure air velocity.
What is the Head-Torso-Ankle weighted WBGT option?
ISO 7243 weights WBGT measured at three heights for a standing worker: ankle, abdomen (torso), and head. With the optional tri-sensor array the QUESTemp reads three sensor bars at once (the S1/S2/S3 channels) and reports the height-weighted average WBGT. A remote sensor bar can sit up to ~61 m (200 ft) from the unit on a cable.
How does the Thiamis integration read a QUESTemp?
Over the RS-232 serial port at 9600 baud (8-N-1) using the QUESTemp command protocol (checksummed QA/QF/QB/QC queries). The driver identifies the model from the QA response, then polls each enabled sensor bar for its dry-bulb, wet-bulb, globe, humidity, WBGT, and heat-index values.
Why does the QUESTemp° 44 report fewer values than the 46/48N?
The 44 is the entry waterless model. It reports the outdoor WBGT index only (no indoor WBGT, heat index, or stay-time work/rest limits) and does not accept the tri-sensor array. The 46 adds indoor WBGT, heat index, and stay times; the 48N adds an event-logging mode and a hands-free D-ring mount.
