Weather Stations
Gill MaxiMet GMX-series compact ultrasonic weather stations. Each model carries a different subset of ultrasonic wind, barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, dew point, and solar radiation, with higher models adding precipitation, GPS, compass, or heat-stress features.

What the Gill Instruments MaxiMet Gets From Aethair
Connected through Thiamis, its readings arrive in the same Environet account as Aethair's own monitors.
Live data and alerts
Environet shows the instrument live and alerts the people you choose by email, SMS, and webhook, at the thresholds you set. Noesis sets up a dashboard, a report, or an alert from a plain-text request.
Compliance reports
Aethair Reports produces scheduled or on-demand reports from the instrument's readings, as a PDF or secure link. Templates cover Aethair Blue, WELL v2, cabin air (ISO 23875), and the CMS-2567 healthcare codebook (ASHRAE 170), or you can report against custom limits such as OSHA PELs, NAAQS, EPA guidance, or your own program limits.
Dashboards and the app
Environet dashboards and the Aethair App show the instrument's readings just like any Aethair device. The occupant-facing Aethair Dashboards status display is built around Aethair IAQ and Aethair PRO.

Questions
Gill Instruments MaxiMet FAQ
How does the integration read a MaxiMet?
Polled ASCII over RS232/RS422/RS485. The driver puts the unit into POLL message mode, reads back the configured REPORT field order, then polls with ?Q each interval and maps every named field to its measurement. Because the report order is read from the device, one driver serves every GMX model.
Is dew point measured or derived?
Derived. The MaxiMet computes dew point on-board from its temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors and emits it as a DEWPOINT field in the data string, which the integration records directly. Models without the PTU sensor block (GMX200, GMX240, GMX260) therefore report no dew point.
Does the same driver work across the land and marine (Marine GMX260/GMX560) models?
Yes. The driver queries the unit for its identity (%% info) and reads back the GMX model number. All MaxiMet models, land and marine, share the same ASCII/SDI-12/NMEA/MODBUS command set, so no per-model configuration is needed.
